Getting Help

  • Helpline, Casework & Counselling (C&C), Outreach programmes

  • Youths aged 12 to 25 from all backgrounds, currently residing in Singapore.

  • After writing in, one of our therapists or trained member of staff will reach out to you usually by the next working day*

We may ask you a few questions about yourself before beginning the conversation, after which, we may do a quick assessment of your mental well-being.

Depending on the number of youths reaching out at any given time, there might be a short waiting time, and we seek your patience and kind understanding. But once we get to you, the Helpline usually lasts between 2-3 weeks, during which we will provide mental health support over WhatsApp, Text, Zoom, or phone calls

During the 2 to 3 weeks of engagement, should we or you feel like longer term work will be beneficial, we can upgrade the Helpline Experience to provide Case Work & Counselling (C&C) services instead, which will involve a trained staff member following up with you over a longer period that's co-determined, to reach your goals.

  • Similar to our Helpline, a therapist or trained member of staff will reach out to you after you write in. They will also ask you a few questions about yourself, and do a quick assessment of your mental well-being

After which, there may be a short waiting period (usually less than a month) before we match you with YOUR therapist

Counselling sessions are often done online via Zoom, at our office, or at a location convenient to you (such as a cafe)

During the counselling process, your therapist will talk you through any issues you may have, help you process your struggles or traumatic experiences, or build coping skills to help deal with your struggles. Your therapist may also connect you with another organisation such as a hospital for medical treatment, or help speak with your school if you need us to talk to your teachers or your school counsellor.

Your therapist will also support you if you need someone to help walk you through a difficult process such as lodging a police report, or if you need someone to accompany you to the doctor or court.

  • An Intake & Referral (I&R) officer will review your case and contact you in 1-3 days time to conduct an I&R assessment. Limitless currently serves clients aged 12-25, currently living in Singapore.

*If you are living abroad and/or above 26 years of age, we will work with you to identify services that might be appropriate for your needs. The I&R officer will follow up with the client once the referral has been made.

A client detail form and a K-10 assessment form will be sent to the client.

The Gillicks assessment will be conducted by the I&R officer on behalf of the client should the client be under 18 and does not wish to have his/her parents be involved.

The officer will ask some basic questions to get a clearer understanding of your situation and your presenting problem. These will be recorded in our case notes, and presented to the Caseworker/Counselor who will take on your case.

  • As we are currently operating at our maximum capacity, clients may expect a waiting time up to a week.

It is advised to schedule a session (maximum of 1h) with our Helpline officer-on-duty for talk therapy.

  • As we are currently operating at our maximum capacity, clients may expect a waiting time at a minimum of 1 month.

Clients may opt to receive support via our Helpline service while waiting.

  • As Case Work & Counselling services, are professional services offered by our trained mental health professionals, we charge 1% of your monthly family household income, per session.

As a youth-centric organisation, we are mindful that some youths might be reaching out on your own, hence we are also open to explore charging 1% of your personal monthly allowance / income.

At the core of which, we do not want cost to be a barrier of entry to receiving quality mental health support services, hence should cost be a concern, we stand ready to have further discussions regarding payment of our professional services.

We hope that our services continue to remain affordable, accessible and available for you and your peers.
